The "Tremplin 24 mois +" measure was created at the beginning of the health crisis to meet labour needs in key sectors. The scope of this measure is now extended to all sectors.

In a press release, the Walloon government announced and explained the changes to the "Tremplin 24 mois+" measure. These have yet to be confirmed by a legal text published in the Belgian Official Gazette.

The measure consists of a subsidy of 1000 €/month (for a full-time employment) for 24 months.

What are the changes to the measure that we discussed in our Infoflash of 11 December 2020?

Who is entitled?

As of 1 January 2022, the Tremplin 24 mois + measure is no longer reserved for key sectors. The scope of this measure is extended to all sectors.

Who can give rise to the entitlement to this subsidy?

The conditions that must be met by a job seeker who has been unemployed for at least 24 months and who you hire are relaxed. Only three conditions remain. He/she must:

  • have his/her principal residence in the French-speaking region;
  • be registered with the FOREm as a non-working job seeker;
  • (on the day before he was hired) have been unemployed for at least 24 months.

What about the other conditions?

For the rest, there are no changes to the measure. Please refer to our Infoflash of 11 December 2020  for more info on this topic.

Under this measure, the Walloon Region now opens up more than 1,000 jobs (instead of 600 in 2021).

Your application must be submitted through the on-line form on the Forem website.
