On 1 March 2023, a bill was adopted in the Parliamentary Committee extending the scope of flexi-jobs again. This bill enables chocolate confectioners who sell their products directly to the end customer to make use of the system of flexi-jobs.
As the activity of chocolate confectioners is very similar to that of bakers and pastry chefs (who already have access to the system of flexi-jobs), it was decided to include this sector in the scope of flexi-jobs.
This concerns companies which fall under JC no. 118 whose main activity is the retail sale of artisanal chocolate products in specialized stores (NACE code 47242).
This extension of the scope is in addition to the earlier extension, which entered into force on 1 January 2023.
This bill was published in the Belgian Official Gazette on 13 April 2023. The law enters into force the 10th day after publication in the Official Gazette.
