The Walloon Region grants an allowance to the self-employed and to companies active in B2B, i.e. trade between businesses.

This allowance can be applied for online at www.indemnitecovid.wallonie.be from 16 june.

Do you qualify for the B2B allowance?

You must meet the following conditions:

  • Have an establishment unit in the Walloon Region before 1 January 2021;
  • Be a very small, small or medium-sized enterprise or a natural person carrying out a professional activity as a main activity and who, taking into account his professional income, pays social security contributions;
  • Demonstrate that at least 20% of your turnover in 2019 was derived from goods or services provided to companies that were obliged to close at least until 1 February 2021. If you started your activity in 2020, demonstrate that at least 20% of your turnover in 2020 comes from the supply of goods or services to companies that had to close;
  • Demonstrate a loss of turnover of at least 50% for at least 1 of the last 3 quarters of 2020 compared to the corresponding quarter of 2019 or for the 1st quarter of 2021 compared to the 1st quarter of 2019. This condition does not have to be met if you set up your company between 1 January 2019 and 31 December 2020.
  • Have not been in difficulty on 31 December 2019;
  • Have not received, including this allowance, more than € 1,800,000 in support under the temporary framework.

You will not be entitled to this allowance if you have received the allowance for indirectly affected sectors (allowance 13).

What is the amount of the B2B allowance?

This amount depends on your workforce and the extent of your loss of turnover.

The workforce is the average number of employees in 2019 employed under an employment contract in all the places of business of your company, corresponding to the number of work units (AWU), calculated on the basis of your DmfA declarations of the 4 quarters of 2019.

The allowance is equal to 15% of the turnover for each of the 4 quarters of 2019 that meet the condition of a loss of turnover of at least 50% (see above). The allowance amounts to:

This allowance is granted only once per company registered in the CBE.
