The Brussels Capital Region provides 10 temporary bonuses for Brussels companies affected by Brexit. One concerns personnel costs.

Who can benefit from this bonus?

You are eligible for this bonus if your company:

  • Was registered in the Crossroads Bank for Enterprises (CBE) since 31 December 2019;
  • At the time of the application, has an establishment unit in the Brussels Capital Region that was registered in the CBE since 31 December 2019 and carries out an economic activity in that unit and disposes of human resources and goods specifically intended for it; 
  • Is not a public enterprise or non-profit-making association;
  • Does not engage in any activity mentioned in this list;
  • Fulfils its specific obligations if you operate in the hospitality sector (code 55 - Accommodation);
  • Did not receive more than €200,000 de minimis support during the current and previous two tax years.

What costs does this bonus cover?

This bonus is used to cover personnel costs for one or more workers of your company in the context of your trade relations with the United Kingdom.

The worker must have been employed by your company for at least 3 consecutive months between 1 January 2020 and 31 December 2023.

What is the amount of the bonus?

The bonus consists of a fixed monthly amount of €3,000 for a full-time employed worker. This amount is calculated in proportion to the worker’s time spent on exchanges with the United Kingdom.

What do you need to do?

You must submit an application on the Brussels Economy and Employment website no later than 6 November 2023.
