These are:

  • The application of Collective Labour Agreement (CLA) no. 159. This CLA, which facilitates workers’ access to temporary unemployment benefits due to economic reasons will end on 30 June 2023. However, this agreement is extended by CLA no. 172;
  • The Flemish target group reductions for apprentices in a work-linked training will be stopped. This concerns:
    • The target reduction for mentoring (mentoring discount)
    • The target group reduction for apprentices in a work-linked training
    • The target group reduction for young people working part-time and receiving vocational secondary education.
  • Some CLAs on RCC/SWT (scheme of unemployment with corporate allowance) will be terminated. However, these CLAs are being replaced by new CLAs on the various RCC/SWT schemes. These include:
    • CLA no. 151, which allows night workers, construction workers and workers in a strenuous profession to benefit from RCC/SWT before the age of 62; however, this agreement is extended by CLA no. 166;
    • CLA no. 152, which allows workers with very long careers to benefit from RCC/SWT before the age of 62; however, this agreement is extended by CLA no. 167;
    • CLA no. 150, under which disabled workers or workers with serious physical problems may be eligible for RCC/SWT before the age of 62; however, this agreement is extended by CLA no. 165;
    • CLA no. 155, regarding exemption from the adjusted availability requirement; however, this agreement is extended by CLAs no. 168 and 169;
    • CLA no. 157, allowing workers with end-of-career time credit to be eligible for interruption benefits from the age of 55; this agreement is extended by CLA no. 170;
  • The SINE target group reduction will end in Flanders on 30 June 2023;
  • The Flemish support premium (VOP) measure will end in Flanders on 30 June 2023;
  • The Local services economy (LDE) measure will come to an end in Flanders on 30 June 2023;
  • The exception to the principle of being subject to international social security when teleworking (following the Covid-19 crisis) expires on 30 June 2023. However, a new European framework agreement will come into force on 1 July 2023.

 

From 1 July 2023

While the above measures will come to an end on 30 June 2023, 1 July 2023 marks the entry into force of a number of changes. Consult this Infoflash for more information on these changes.
