A new European framework agreement has been concluded to facilitate cross-border telework. Belgium has signed this agreement. It will therefore apply from 1 July 2023.

In our Infoflash of 28 April 2023, we informed you about the scope of this new European framework agreement and its impact on social security legislation in the case of cross-border telework.

We were waiting to find out if Belgium would sign this agreement, which is the case now. We invite you to consult the website of the FPS Social Security for the list of countries that have so far signed this European framework agreement.

Do you employ workers in Belgium who live abroad and carry out telework? Then be sure to take note of these new provisions, among others of the importance of the 50% limit on telework during their working time.
