As a result of the latest health measures, the hospitality sector had to close its doors again.

The Brussels-Capital Region grants a premium to its cafés and restaurants.

Are you entitled to it?

You are eligible for this premium if your company:

  • has at least one establishment unit operating in the Brussels-Capital Region on 19 October 2020
  • carries out one or more of the following activities:

Full service catering

Nace code 56.101

Limited service catering

Nace code 56.102

Cafés and bars

Nace code 56.301

  • was forced to close down in accordance with Article 6 § 1 of the Ministerial Decree of 28 October 2020, with the exception of a possible takeaway service.

You cannot benefit from the premium if you do not comply with or have not complied with the obligation to close.

What is the amount of the premium?

The one-off premium amounts to € 3,000 per establishment unit operating in the Brussels-Capital Region on 19 October 2020 and that is subject to the mandatory closure in accordance with the Ministerial Decree of 28 October 2020, with the exception of a possible takeaway food or drinks service.

The amount of the premium is limited to € 15,000.

What steps should you take?

Since 17 November 2020, the application form has been online on the website of Brussels Economy and Employment.

Do not wait too long: your application must be submitted before 4 December 2020.

As the legal text has not yet been published in the Belgian Official Gazette, changes are still possible.
