From 1 July 2024, the existing age limits for the Flemish target group reduction for persons without recent sustainable work experience will disappear.

As from then, this target group reduction can be used from the end of part-time compulsory education (in principle 18 years of age) until the legal retirement age. This age is considered on the last day of the quarter of recruitment.

You can read the other terms and conditions in our infoflashon this topic.

The reason for this change is the abolition of target group reductions for older and younger low-skilled workers in Flanders as of 1 July 2024.

Please note that this information is based on draft legislation and is therefore subject to change.
