Coronavirus Walloon Region: new premium for the sectors still closed

The Walloon Region grants you a premium if you belong to one of the sectors that are currently closed. The amount of the premium varies according to the date on which you were obliged to close (19 October or 2 November 2020) and the size of your business.

Are you entitled to the premium?

In order to be entitled to the premium, you must meet certain conditions: 

  • have an establishment unit in the Walloon Region before the compulsory closing date (19 October or 2 November 2020);
  • be a business or a self-employed person whose activity falls under one of the following NACE codes:

What is the amount of the premium?

The amount of the premium depends on the size of your company (expressed in full-time equivalents - FTEs) and the date of your compulsory closing.

Your number of FTEs is determined on the basis of the average number of employees in 2019 who were employed under an employment contract in your combined business offices (corresponding to the number of work units), calculated on the basis of your 2019 DmfA declarations.

This premium can be granted only once per company registered in the CBE.

You cannot benefit the premium if you have already received a premium from another sub-area as a consequence of the coronacrisis.

What must you do?

You must submit an online application form via the Walloon Region website created for aid applications. The application can be submitted via this web platform from 10 March 2021.
