A protocol agreement 2019-2020 for joint committee 107 (master-tailors, tailors and seamstresses)!

On 11 June 2019, the social partners of this joint committee concluded their sectoral agreement for 2019-2020. As stipulated in the Royal Decree of 24 April 2019 implementing Article 7 § 1 of the Act of 26 July 1996 on the promotion of employment and the preventative safeguarding of competitiveness, this agreement complies with the maximum negotiating envelope of 1.1% in 2019 and 2020.

Below, you will find a brief overview of the main subjects of this protocol agreement. A detailed analysis will be included in our sectoral information.

Provisions with an impact on wages

Purchasing power

On 01 July 2019, the scale and actual wages will increase by 1.1 %.

Mobility

As from 1 July 2019:

  • the bicycle allowance will be increased to € 0.24/km.
  • the employers' contribution to the costs of train transport will be increased to 80 %.

Trade union premium

As from 2019, the trade union premium paid by the fund will be increased to € 145.

Scheme of unemployment with corporate allowance (RCC/SWT)

The sectoral collective bargaining agreement that provides for RCC/SWT from the age of 62 is extended.

In addition, the social partners in the sectors subscribe to the NLC framework agreement that grants RCC/SWT to employees aged 59 and over after a long occupational history (until 30 June 2021). Including the provisions concerning the possibility of exemption from availability.

Soft-end-of career' jobs and time credit (until 31 December 2020)

Right to full-time and half-time time credit with motive will be extended to a maximum of:

  • 36 months for the motive of pursuing a training course;
  • 51 months for the motive of providing care.

The Flemish incentives CBA will be extended:

The social partners are fully subscribing to the lowering of the age limit for end-of career jobs with benefits after a long occupational history (35 years) and heavy and arduous professions, as included in CBA No. 137:

  • 1/5 end-of career job as from the age of 55;
  • 1/2 end-of-career job as from the age of 57.

Risk groups

The CBA groups at risk will be extended until 31 December 2020.
