As announced at the Consultative Committee of 30 October 2020, teleworking from home is becoming mandatory.

For whom?

Teleworking from home is mandatory:

  • in all companies, all associations and all services;
  • for all staff members;

unless this is impossible due to the nature of the position, or the continuity of the business, the activities or the services.

Companies, associations and services can no longer organise 'return moments'.

Team building activities requiring physical presence are forbidden.

What if teleworking is not applied?

If teleworking from home is not applied, the appropriate precautionary measures should be taken:

  • in companies, associations and services: to ensure maximum compliance with the rules of social distancing;

    Important note! Moreover, the employer must provide employees who cannot telework from home with a certificate or any other proof confirming the necessity of their presence at the workplace.
  • in businesses, (private and public) companies and services which are necessary to protect the vital needs of the Nation and the needs of the people (as well as the producers, suppliers, contractors and subcontractors of goods, works and services essential to the activity of these companies and services): to apply the rules of social distancing as far as possible.
