When do you have to pay social contributions?

As a self-employed person, you must pay social contributions to your social insurance fund. But when exactly do you have to pay? And what are the consequences if you have payment arrears? Read all about it here.

When do you have to pay your social contributions?

Social contributions must be paid quarterly. The payment must also be forwarded to social security at the latest on the last day of each quarter

If you are affiliated with Partena Professional, we will send you a payment message every quarter. This way we help you to always pay on time!

A good advice  💡

Pay your social contributions no later than:

• March 21 (1st quarter)

• June 21 (2nd quarter)

• September 21 (3rd quarter)

• December 21 (4th quarter)

Even better advice 💡

Pay your social contributions by direct transfer. You can easily set up such a transfer via our online tool My Social Security Manager or via one of our employees.

What if you pay late?

If you do not pay your social security contributions on time, you endanger your social security and must pay extra costs. Your social insurance fund will charge a surcharge of 3% on every unpaid (quarterly) contribution.

If you have still not paid all your contributions at the end of the calendar year, you will have to pay another surcharge of 7%
