Citizen Service is a scheme that gives individuals the opportunity to commit themselves to a project of public interest.

The aim is to promote civic engagement, social diversity, solidarity and individual autonomy.

Citizen Service is accessible to any citizen residing in Belgium who meets certain conditions (including an age requirement).

Citizens carry out their mission with a host organization recognized by the Citizen Service Agency and receive a compensation from the Agency.

This mission is the subject of a written agreement between the citizen, the host organization and the Citizen Service Agency.

If you wish to host citizens in service and learn more, please visit the Citizen Service website.
