Partena Professional acquires EASYPAY GROUP

Brussels, 7 February 2023 - Partena Professional and EASYPAY GROUP have reached an agreement to acquire the interests of the Pareit family in EASYPAY GROUP. EASYPAY GROUP, the largest family-owned HR solutions group in Belgium, consists of 25 entities and provides a wide range of HR services and solutions to private and public organizations. Through this agreement, Partena Professional acquires 100% of the shares of the Pareit family, thus taking control of the entities of EASYPAY GROUP.

Founded in the 1980s by the Pareit family as a payroll software provider, EASYPAY GROUP has evolved into a full-service HR provider. Today, the company employs some 400 employees who, together, help 23,000 employers in Belgium to manage their employees' salaries.

This agreement follows the collaboration of the two parties on services in the temporary work sector in 2022.

Growth

Partena Professional and EASYPAY GROUP are both innovative growth companies in the Belgian market of socio-legal and HR solutions.

The acquisition brings a lot of complementarity. For example, EASYPAY GROUP is more focused on Flanders and has a solid experience in the software field. The group also focuses on segments that are gaining in importance in the labour market, such as temporary work and flexi-jobs managed by social offices, and payroll activities.

Employment and management

By incorporating the activities of EASYPAY GROUP, Partena Professional estimates that some 700,000 payroll calculations will be made per month. It will also become a leading player in stand-alone payroll and personnel management systems. Finally, this collaboration will allow Partena Professional to further develop the market for services to the self-employed. The new structure will have approximately 2,000 employees and will be present in the three regions of the country.

Given the growth and number of vacancies in both companies, Partena Professional does not expect a significant impact on employment.

The current management of EASYPAY GROUP will co-manage the implementation of internal cohesion with Partena Professional and will then assume a strategic advisory role within Partena Professional. Non-family shareholders, external members and directors of the underlying entities of EASYPAY GROUP will also remain on board.

The transaction is still subject to the approval of the Belgian Competition Authority (BCA).
