Is one of your employees nearing the end of their career and seeking to reduce their workload in the run-up to their retirement? That's a viable option with the special 'end-of-career time credit’ system.

Conditions for end-of-career time credit

In order to grant your employee end-of-career time credit, the employee must:

  • be at least 55;
  • have worked 25 years in gainful employment;
  • have worked at least two years at your company.

Has your employee performed a demanding job that appears on the list of shortage occupations? If so, they are entitled to end-of-career time credit from the age of 50.

Provisions for end-of-career time credit

If you grant your employee end-of-career time credit, they are allowed to reduce their workload to that of half-time employment. Or take 1/5 time credit until their retirement. During this period, the employee will receive benefits from the National Employment Office, the amount of which is determined based on the age and chosen system.

Still have questions on this topic? Not sure how to manage time credit for one of your employees who is at the end of their career? The experts at Partena Professional are standing by to assist you.
