Several formalities related to temporary unemployment have been simplified since March 2020.

This simplification will come to an end on 1 January 2023.

The ONEm/RVA provides more details on this subject in its instructions.

Below is a summary of the main points.

For employers

As of 1 January 2023, on its own initiative, the employer will again have to:

  • issue a check form C3.2A to the temporarily unemployed worker no later than the first actual day of unemployment of each month;
  • complete the validation book;
  • (where applicable) submit a Social Risk Declaration scenario 2.

For workers

As of 1 January 2023, the worker will again have to:

  • dispose of a check form C3.2A from the first actual day of unemployment until the end of the month;
  • declare the exercise of subsidiary activities or the receipt of income that may affect eligibility for unemployment benefits (form C1).
