For absences in the context of educational leave, the employee is entitled to the payment of his normal wage on the usual dates. However, this wage is limited to a certain amount (except if the employer agrees to not apply this amount).

We have already announced this in our Infoflash of 27 November 2018.

This amount of € 2,928 for the school year 2018-2019 (from 1 September 2018 to 30 June 2019) has finally become official since it was published in the Belgian Official Gazette of 17 April.
