Paid educational leave: wage cap 2023

For absences in the context of educational leave, the employee is entitled to the payment of his normal wage on the usual dates. However, this wage is limited to a certain amount (except if the employer agrees not to apply this amount).

Previously, this amount was fixed by school year (1 September to 30 June of the following year). From 2022 onwards, this amount is fixed at:

- €3,170 for the period from 1 September 2022 to 31 December 2022;

- €3,364 for the period from 1 January 2023 to 31 August 2023.
