Eco-vouchers: the list of products and services will change again on 1 September 2021

Following the reform of the European energy label, the National Labour Council has re-examined the list of products and services that can be purchased with eco-vouchers. Therefore, the current list will be replaced again from 1 September 2021.

Below, we will provide a brief overview of the most important changes from 1 September 2021.

What will change on 1 September 2021?

Energy-saving electronic appliances

• The electronic display screens will be extended with a class E.
• The new scale for light sources will be added.
  
  Consequently, light sources of class A, B, C or D can be purchased with eco-vouchers. Also light sources put on the market before 1 September 2021 with the old European energy label A+ or A++ which can be sold until 28 February 2023, can still be paid with eco-vouchers.

Sustainable gardening

Peat and plant protection products could no longer be purchased with eco-vouchers from 1 March 2021 onwards, unless they had a recognised organic label. This is now further clarified by excluding plant protection products which do not comply with the applicable European regulations from the list of products which can be purchased with eco-vouchers.

Future changes

If, following the reform of the European energy label which is currently in progress, any changes are made to the list of products and services which can be purchased with eco-vouchers, we will not fail to inform you as soon as possible.
