In order to allow companies to respond more quickly to the consequences of the corona pandemic in the workplace, the ONEm/RVA has made some relaxations to the existing systems of temporary unemployment.

These relaxations are temporary and cannot be applied by all companies. From 1 September 2020 to 31 December 2020, only the severely affected companies and sectors can further appeal to the flexible system of unemployment due to force majeure corona. Companies which do not belong to that category may have recourse to the traditional systems of temporary unemployment for economic reasons (with some transitional provisions) or force majeure.

In this table we give an overview of the different systems of temporary unemployment due to force majeure and economic reasons that exist today.
