The National Employment Office (ONEm/RVA) has announced that the simplified procedure for temporary unemployment due to corona is extended until 30 June 2020, following a decision of the Minister of Employment.

Since 13 March, the procedure for temporary unemployment due to corona has been limited to an absolute minimum. For unemployed employees, it is sufficient to submit the monthly declaration of the days of unemployment (social risk declaration DRS/ASR scenario 5) indicating it concerns unemployment due to ‘force majeure’ along with the reason ‘corona’. The standard previous steps no longer apply, in particular the notification of the suspension to the ONEm/RVA and the application for benefits per employee (social risk declaration DRS/ASR scenario 2).

This flexible procedure is now guaranteed until 30 June.
