Brussels-Capital Region: premium for the events, entertainment, tourism and cultural sector

The Brussels-Capital Region has introduced a new premium to support businesses in connection with the health crisis. This premium is intended for the events, entertainment, tourism and cultural sector.

Who can apply for the premium?

The aim is to support those sectors that have not yet been able to resume their activities as a result of the measures taken by the National Security Council or which are still severely affected by these measures.

In order to be eligible for the premium, the business or self-employed person must:

  • have at least one establishment unit in the Brussels-Capital Region that was registered with the CBE on 18 March 2020,
  • employ fewer than 50 FTEs and pay VAT contributions on 20 October 2020, 
  • have one of the following NACE codes:

What is the amount of the premium?

This is a one-off premium.

The minimum amount of the premium is 3000 EUR. The maximum amount is 9000 EUR.

The amount of the premium is determined on the basis of the loss of turnover of the business/independent person applying for the premium.

What is the procedure for applying for the premium?

The premium is managed by Brussels Economy and Employment. The procedure for applying for a premium is not yet known and will be communicated later on its website .

This measure is not yet the subject of a legal text published in the Belgian Official Gazette.  Modifications could therefore still occur.
