Birth leave: 15 days from 01 January 2021!

From 1 January 2021 onwards, the birth leave will be increased from 10 to 15 days. This is provided for in a draft law adopted by the Council of Ministers on 20 November 2020.

More specifically, this means that the employee-father or co-parent is entitled to 15 days ' birth leave, provided that the child is born on or after 1 January 2021. From 1 January 2023 onwards, the birth leave will be increased to 20 days.
