In our Infoflash of 11 September 2020 we informed you that from 31 August 2020 and for a period of 1 month, additional flash controls would be organised in the fight against the COVID-19 virus. These flash controls would take place in the construction sector, cleaning sector, agricultural and horticultural sector and meat sector.
This period of 1 month could be extended if necessary. In the meantime, however, the Belgian Service d'information et de recherche sociale/Sociale Inlichtingen- en Opsporingsdienst [Social Intelligence and Investigation Service] has decided that the COVID-19 flash controls will not be extended in October 2020.
Please note that this does not mean that the inspection services will no longer check on this. After all, the Social Intelligence and Investigation Service (SIRS/SIOD) has called on the district cells to continue to monitor all corona measures and to raise awareness of them.
The Belgian Social Intelligence and Investigation Service (SIRS/SIOD) has drawn up a specific COVID 19 checklist. This checklist contains provisions relating to hand hygiene, social distancing, general hygiene, ventilation and contacts with third parties (temporary agency workers, suppliers, customers, contractors etc.).
In addition, the social inspector can also check the register of foreign employees and the Passenger Locator Form (PHPLF).

On the website of the SIRS/SIOD you can also consult the results of previous flash controls. Currently, only the information from the flash control in the cleaning sector is available.
For the time being, no new flash controls are planned. Should this change in the meanwhile, we will not fail to inform you of this.
