The 2019-2020 draft sector agreement for Joint Committee 315.02 (aviation industry) has been concluded

JC 315.02 (aviation industry) has concluded a draft sector agreement for the period 2019-2020. This agreement of 01 July 2019 respects the maximum negotiating envelope of 1.1% in 2019-2020 in accordance with the RD of 24 April 2019 implementing article 7 § 1 of the Act of 26 July 1996 on the promotion of employment and the preventive safeguarding of competitiveness.

Below, you will find a brief overview of the main subjects of this sector agreement. A detailed analysis will be included in our sector information.

Applying the wage margin

Increase of the real wages and the scale wages by 1.1% on 1 August 2019, to the exclusion of the fixed bonuses. All collective increases that are subject to the wage norm after 1 January 2019 will be included in the maximum operating margin, with the exception of the pay scale increases or indexations.

Increase of the average monthly guaranteed minimum wage with 1.1%, to the exclusion of the student workers.

Eco vouchers and meal vouchers are not included in the provisions of the wage moderation Act, nor are they included for the calculation of the average monthly guaranteed minimum wage.

Mobility

Increase or introduction of a bicycle allowance at a rate of 0.24 Euro/km. The rules need to be established at company level.

The contribution to the costs of private transport is adjusted from 60 % to 70 % in the collective bargaining agreement of 1 July 2009.

Social Security Fund

An employee will be recruited within the social security fund to identify training needs and to investigate which partnerships can be concluded with the social security fund.

The social partners are committed to developing financial support for childcare within the budgets of the risk groups.

In addition, employers will inform long-term ill people of the possibility to be granted a financial contribution from the social security fund after 61 days of illness.

Training

As from 2020, 1 training day will be allocated on an individual basis (individualisation of the training days), included in the number of days determined by the collective bargaining agreement of 7 November 2017 concerning training efforts.

Scheme of unemployment with corporate allowance (SWT/RCC) and time credit

Extension and updating of all possible regimes.

Feasible work

The social partners are committed to closely follow up the issue pension and strenuous professions. One additional day of seniority leave for all staff after 20 years of seniority in accordance with the criteria of the collective bargaining agreement of 4 July 2012), unless an equivalent or more advantageous arrangement already exists at company level.

Harmonisation of statutes

The social partners recommend that companies harmonise the status of manual and non-manual workers at company level.
